Discovery
Competitive Analysis
Researched half a dozen businesses and their logo designs
Looked at half a dozen businesses at art fairs to decide what type of merchandise could be created with the logo, such as stickers.
Current State Assessment
Assessed completed pieces to align on a common theme that can be reflected in the logo
Define

Reference Painting
Initially considered using digital painting of mother’s dog I had used as a logo on social media accounts for pet portrait pages.
Decided that the logo would be an inked illustration based off of the photograph, since most other companies researched had 2d graphic logos.

Background Color
Decided on a reddish background color, as the background of the painting I had previously used as a profile picture featured reddish colors in the background.
Design

Early Draft/Explorations
Designed the square version of the logo in Photoshop, first. Added the text and wrapped it around the shape.

Dog Drawing
Created a rough drawing on my drawing tablet.
Iterate
Implement

Social Media Uploads
Export the project as a png and jpeg; the png is for social media, while the jpeg is for any printed material.
Distributed the final logo across marketing channels - Facebook, Instagram, etc - to have a consistent brand presence.
Merchandise Service Delivery
Take the final image, upload it to a service website that creates custom stickers out of uploaded images, and set up the image to be converted into 3x5 stickers, which will eventually be shipped to my home.
